1/1/2 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
4 1/2 cups flour
1/4 t salt
1 1/4 t baking soda
4 t baking powder
1 cup milk
1 t vanilla
1 1/2 - 2 t nutmeg
Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternatively with milk and vanilla; mix well. Using half of the dough at a time, roll out on a floured pastry board to 1/4 in thickness. Cut with cookie cutter and place on cookie sheet (sprayed with non stick cooking spray). Bake at 350º for 8-10 minutes.
