5 cups water,or to your taste
2 cups or 16 oz, panela grated or in chunks
2 limes, cut into wedges, reserve 4 wedges for garnish
Ice (handful)

*Panela is a product that is made with sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is sold in blocks or grated and the flavor is similar to that of brown sugar. If you can't find it, I've used a mixture of light and dark brown sugar.

1. In a blender combine all ingredients: ice, water, panela (or brown sugar), and limes (with rind).
2. Blend well for 3-4 minutes on high.
3. While blending moisten rims of glasses with lime wedges then dip in light brown sugar or organic granulated sugar. drop lime wedge into each glass or place on rim.
4. Strain water mixture then pour into each glass, adding more ice if needed.
