Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 can of chick peas (I use Goya brand)

½ cup of the chick pea liquid

½ cup of tahini paste (also called sesame seed paste)

¼ cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice (you can used the bottled type)

1 clove of fresh garlic (use 2 cloves if you want extremely intense garlic flavor)

1 tablespoon of olive oil

¼ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Drain the chick peas but save a ½ cup of the liquid.

Place the chick pea liquid, tahini paste, and garlic into a food processor or blender.

Blend for a minute or two, and then slowly add the chick peas

Slowly add about ½ of the lemon juice, and then taste the hummus. I do this because I don’t like it too “lemony”.

Blend until the mixture is a creamy white. Stop the machine and taste, checking for smoothness.

Start the machine again and drizzle in the olive oil and salt.
