combine 3/4 cups sugar
2 tablespoon cornstarch
dash salt
one pound 4 ounce can pitted tart red cherries with juice
10 drops red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
combine 3/4 cups sugar, 2 tablespoon cornstarch and dash salt. Stir in one pound 4 ounce can pitted tart red cherries with juice. cook quickly stirring constantly till thick and bubbly. reduce heat, cook 1 minute add 10 drops red food coloring. serve warm.
