1 cup buttermilk
2 cups brown sugar
4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 lb. seedless raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup coconut
1 cup butter
1 cup jam
4 eggs

Fruit Cake Icing:
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 pint cream

Directions:
Directions:
Grind nuts and raisins. Beat eggs well. Add milk, sugar, butter, jam, flour, baking powder, soda, nutmeg and cinnamon. Add nuts, raisins, and coconut. Mix well. Makes two layers. Bake at 300º for 40 minutes.

Fruit Cake Icing:
Combine ingredients. Boil until thick. Add 1/2 lb. raisins, 1/2 lb. nuts and 1/2 lb. coconut. Spread on cake.
