2 cans of sauerkraut, drained
1 pound thinly coarsely chopped
3/4 cup 1000 Island dressing
8 oz thinly sliced Swiss cheese
5 1/2 cups coarsely crumbled rye bread (Seedless preferred)
1/4 cup melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
In a greased 8 by 11ish baking dish, layer first 5 ingredients and drizzle with butter. Bake uncovered in a preheated 375 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes until casserole is heated through and bread crumbs are lightly browned.

I specified seedless rye bread because according to Jackson, seeded rye bread is "gross" and renders the whole thing inedible.
