36 figs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 Tbsp. water
1 slice lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Remove any stems from figs, combine all ingredients, and cook in a heated saucepan until thick. Cool. This recipe is easily doubled, tripled, etc.
Yields 1 pint of marvelous preserves.


David's big batch:

8 cups figs to 4 cups sugar. Set in fridge overnight. Cook down next night and add a little squeeze of lemon. Put in jars and seal.
