1 pkg Baker's German's Sweet Chocolate
1/2 cup water
2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
4 eggs, separated
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line bottom of pans with parchment. Do not grease pans.
Melt chocolate in water.
In a small bowl mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl cream butter and sugar.
Beat in egg yolk, one at a time.
Blend in chocolate and vanilla.
Alternate addition of flour with buttermilk.
Beat egg whites in a small bowl until stiff peaks form.
Gently stir into batter.
Bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
