2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 oz red food coloring
2 1/2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cake pans with parchment paper. Do not grease pans.
In a small bowl mix flour and salt.
In a large bowl cream butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs until light and fluffy.
Add coloring and cocoa.
Alternate addition of flour mixture and buttermilk.
Mix vinegar and baking soda; add to batter with vanilla.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
