Ingredients:  
1 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/3 cup chopped dates
1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts are fine)
Extra powdered sugar in a small bowl

Directions:
Directions:
1.) Mix butter, both sugars, milk and vanilla well.
2.) Mix in the flour, salt, dates and nuts.
3.) Refrigerate dough 2 hours.
4.) Roll dough into small balls 1 or 1 1/2 inches across.
5.) Bake balls at 325º for 20-25 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.
6.) Roll warm balls in powdered sugar and place on plate or into mini cupcake wrappers.
