1 Lb. hot or sweet ground Italian sausage.
1 lb. lean ground beef
2 15 oz. diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 tbsp. dried Italian seasoning, crushed
1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp crushed red pepper
2 small green bell peppers, cut into bite sized strips
1 large yellow onion
2 tbsp. minced garlic
French style hoagie rolls or buns of your choice
12-15 slices mozzarella and/or provolone cheese
Sliced banana peppers

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sausage, ground beef, onion, bell pepper and garlic until the meat is no longer pink. Drain off the fat. Put meat and veggie mixture in a dutch oven. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, vinegar, salt, and crushed red pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer about 30 minutes or until mixture thickens.
Slice the rolls/buns. Toast with cheese, if you’d like, until the cheese is slightly melted. Add meat mixture and enjoy!
