Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Juice from 3 to 4 lemons
about 1 1/2 quarts water
ice
1/2 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Step 1.) Juice the lemons. To make your labor easier, try pressing FIRMLY on the lemons while rolling them on the counter top before cutting in them in half and squeezing the juice out into a cup or bowl. Remove any seeds that fall into your juice.
Step 2.) Mix 1 cup of water with 1/2 cup sugar in a saucepan.
Heat on medium heat just until the sugar has dissolved. Stir occasionally.
Step 3) Remove sugar mixture from heat and combine it with your lemon juice and enough water and ice until it tastes the way you like. Stir well.
This recipe should make enough for a 2-quart pitcher, but it can be easily doubled for a 1-gallon pitcher.
It looks pretty if you slice an extra lemon and place it in your clear pitcher. I would do this before Step 3, while your sugar is dissolving.
