1 3/4 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup margarine
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup milk
1 cup sugar

Topping:
2 medium apples, sliced
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Stir flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Cream margarine and sugar then add egg and vanilla. Beat until light an fluffy. Stir in dry ingredients alternately with milk. Pour into greased 9X11" shallow pan. Peal apples and cut into 8's and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Place in rows, sharp edges pressed in slightly. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350ºF for 50-60 minutes.
