5 lb. Potatoes (I like the Yukon Gold variety)
1 stick of butter
8 oz. cream cheese
8 oz. sour cream
2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper
1c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and dice potatoes. Cook in boiling water until tender. Drain well.
Mash (I use a ricer to mash them) with 5T. butter, cream cheese, sour cream, onion salt, garlic powder and pepper.mix in milk.
Spoon into greased 9X13 baking dish. Melt remaining 3 T. of butter and drizzle over top.
Cover tightly and freeze up to one month or to use immediately bake uncovered for 30 minutes until heated through. I put them in a crock pot and refrigerate.If using a crock pot,Cook on low 3 hours before serving.

I have served this for Thanksgiving and for parties. We did a mashed Potato bar. We had many toppings including, Sour Cream, Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Gravy, Chives and even Cheese Sauce.
