1 med. onion, finely chopped
2 bunches green onions, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 T. Worchestershire sauce
1 lg. stalk celery, finely chopped
20 drops Tabasco
1/2 C. butter
1 t. salt
1/2 t. sugar
2 T. flour
1/2 t. crushed thyme
2 1/2 C. water
1/8 t. pepper
1 can (10.5 oz.) tomato puree
2 bay leaves
1 1/2 lb. cleaned raw shrimp

Directions:
Directions:
In large skillet, saute onion, green onion, garlic and celery in butter until tender. Add flour, cook and stir until lightly browned. Add water, tomato puree, bay leaves, Worcestershire, Tabasco and seasonings. Simmer uncovered stirring occasionally for 25 minutes or until sauce is almost to desired consistency. Add shrimp and continue cooking for 10 minutes.
