2/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 cup water
3 cups tart cherries, pitted
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup whole milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix 2/3 cups sugar, cornstarch, and water.
Cook until slightly thickened.
Remove from heat and add cherries.
Pour into a greased pan.
Mix dry ingredients left.
Cut in butter until it resembles crumbles then add milk.
Mix well and drop by teaspoons on top of hot fruit mixture.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
