4 cups tart cherries, pitted
3/4-1 cup cherry juice
1 cup sugar
3-4 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degees.
Heat cherries if frozen. In a saucepan, mix in sugar and cornstarch.
Stir in small amounts of juice to make paste.
Stir in remaining juice and cook until sauce thickens.
Stir in cherries and almond.
Cool and fill pastry lined pan.
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes until brown.
