1 medium chopped onion
2 medium sliced thinly carrots
2 ribs of celery, chopped
3 cups fresh broccoli florets, bite size
1-1/2 cups milk
1 can canned milk
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp thyme - optional
3/4 tsp garlic salt
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Pinch of black pepper
3 T flour mixed with 1/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Saute' onion, carrots, celery and broccoli in large saucepan with olive oil and butter,
Add the flour and milk, bring to boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat and cook 2 minutes, stir until thick
Stir in 1 T butter.
Serve with a sprinkle of cracker pepper.

Good with cooked chopped bacon or diced ham.
Serve with a slice of sourdough bread.
