1/2 cup uncooked rice
1 lb ground beef
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 TBSP minced onion
1 cup tomato sauce
1 cup hot water
May need a little oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine rice, beef, salt, pepper, onion.
Mix and shape into 12 balls.
Brown balls in oil, in a heavy frying pan.
Add tomato soup and water.
Cover, Cooke 1 1/2 hours over low heat until rice is tender.

Mom, Christine, said this was one of her favorite meals and would often ask Grandma Tilby to make this for dinner. As the rice cooks, it sticks out all over the balls and she thought it was funny.
