2 cps. sugar
2 cps. water
1 Tbs. Lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter or shortening (less cholesterol)
1 box Filo Dough

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and water, stir on high, bring to boil, add 1 Tbs. lemon juice. Turn to medium, boil 3-5 minutes.Put in freezer to cool while making filo.

Oven 200 celsius.
Melt 1/4 cp butter/shortening. Grease cookie sheet with butter/shortening.
Lay 4 or 5 layers of filo dough into a pan. Spread warm butter/shortening over each 4/5 layer bunch.

Before putting shortening on last layer, cut into diagonals, then add shortening.
Flick water on top 3 times right before putting in oven.
Bake for 20 minutes or until brown (check under corner).
Take out syrup from freezer when filo is baked and add 1 tsp. vanilla and stir.
Pour cold syrup on top of hot filo and serve warm or leave in fridge for 1-5 hours.
Separate each piece and serve.
