"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

So this is what happened. Jamison and his mom Beverly spent two weeks in 2000 driving around Alaska by car or RV. Someone (probably mom) had the bright idea to go sea kayaking (never having done it before). The adventure was skirting crashing against massive rocks by three story waves, avoiding breeching orca whales, being pulled against rocks by heavy currents and landing at what was supposed to be an picturesque beach with no foxes in sight. And, then we had to take the same route home before nightfall. Both agreed we're not doing that again. Spent the night in a very nice hotel.
