4 cups raisins
(2) 1 ib. containers of candied fruit
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. chopped almonds
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. butter
1 1/3 c. white sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp each of mace, nutmeg and cloves
7 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
(1) 1 lb. jar of mincemeat

Preheat oven to 300º

Grease 5 medium loaf pans. Cream together (with electric mixer) butter, sugar, eggs, salt, baking soda and spices. Gradually blend in flour, then add mincemeat, candied fruit and nuts. This takes a BIG BOWL!

Fill paans to 2/3 full; bake 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a loaf comes out dry. Cool, then glaze loaves with warm clear Karo corn syrup.
