1/2 cup warm water
1 tsp sugar and 1 tbsp yeast
1 cup scalded milk
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
3 cups flour

2 cups mashed potatoes
2 pounds ground beef and pork
1 medium minced onion
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Add yeast and sugar to warm water and let rise. Beat 2 eggs
Let scalded milk cool and add shortening, salt, eggs and flour to make a soft dough. Can add more flour if needed.
Knead a little and let rise to double.

Boil potatoes and mash.

Cook meat with minced onion.

Mix meat and potatoes. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Roll out part of the dough to 1/4 inch and cut out rounds. Fill and pinch and turn pinched side down.

Brush buns with egg and a little water.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350 to 400 degrees
