1 lb. dry small white beans
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. sugar
1 T. dry mustard
1 medium onion, peeled
1/2 lb. salt pork
1/4 lb. bacon ends
1/4 lb. bacon, sliced in small pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans overnight in water; rinse and then cook until tender. Blanche salt pork in boiling water for 5 minutes and place on the bottom on the bean pot or deep casserole.

Mix all ingredients, except onion, and place in the beanpot. Put the whole onion in the center; cover and bake at 250 F. for 6-8 hours. Note: add water to the beans, if necessary, in order to keep the beans moist.
