10-12 large fresh basil leaves torn into small pieces
3 large ripe tomatoes diced
2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 tsp salt divided
freshly ground black pepper
300 g strip loin steak
4 thick slices sourdough bread

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first four ingredients with 1/4 tsp salt in a large bowl. Season with pepper. Stir, then cover and let stand at room temperature at least 1 hour. Preheat grill to high. Sprinkle steak with remaining salt. Barbecue steak 4 min per side for medium-rare. Transfer to a platter and let rest 10 min. Barbecue bread, 1 to 2 min per side. Slice steak thinly. Top toasted bread with tomato mixture, steak and any remaining juice.
