8 cups stale bread or cake – crumbled
4 cups milk
2 cups sugar
5 eggs
2 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup dried cherries
1 cup toasted chopped walnuts
1 tsp. each, cinnamon, nutmeg, mace
1/2 cup melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine everything together. Mix should be very moist but not soupy. Add more crumbled bread if too wet. Pour into greased 12 x 10 baking dish. Place in a cold oven. Turn oven to 350 degrees. Bake till golden brown about 1 1/2 hours.
