3 T salted butter
3 T all purpose flour
1/2 cup chicken stock or broth
1/2 cup milk
Salt and pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder - optional

Directions:

In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat
Add flour to the butter and mix until smooth - 1 minute
Add the chicken broth and milk.
Whisk together until thickened and no lumps.
Add salt, pepper and garlic powder if desired
