1 can navy beans
1 cup ham, diced
1 medium onion, diced
1 large potato, diced
2 medium carrots, diced
2 ribs celery, diced
1/2 tsp garlic , minced
1-1/2 quarts water
1 bay leaf
1 tsp thyme
1 T parsley

Directions:

Add all ingredients to a large soup pot and bring to boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer for one hour.
Serve warm
