1 1/2 cups spicy ground sausage
2 medium potatoes, cut in 1/2 lengthwise, then cut into 1/4" slices
3/4 cup diced onion
6 slices bacon
1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
2 cups kale leaves, cut in half, then sliced
2 Tbsp chicken base
1 qt water
1/3 cup heavy cream

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sausage in skillet. Drain fat.
In stockpot, fry bacon with onion. When bacon is crisp, remove to paper towel, but leave onion in pot.
Add garlic and saute for 1 minute.
Add potatoes,water, and chicken base.
Simmer 15 minutes.
Crumble bacon and add to pot.
Add kale, sausage, and cream.
Simmer 4 minutes, then serve.

Be sure to add the kale in the last 5 minutes before serving.
