3 c. all purpose flour
1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. margarine or butter, softened
3/4 tsp salt

Filling:
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. Karo light or dark corn syrup
3 tbsp. margarine or butter, softened
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º. Grease jelly roll pan 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1.

Beat flour, sugar, margarine/butter and salt in a large bowl on medium speed until crumbly (mixture will be dry). Press firmly in pan. Bake until light brown for approximately 20 minutes.

Prepare filling:
Mix all ingredients except for the pecans until well blended. Stir in the pecans. Pour over baked layer, spread evenly and bake until filling is set for approximately 25 minutes.

Cool, cut into 1 1/2" squares.
