1/4 cup olive oil
1 large onion (chopped)
4 cloves of garlic
680 grams of strained tomatoes
1 28 oz can of plum tomatoes (mashed)
1 6oz can of tomato paste
1 cup of chicken broth
3 bay leaves
2 tbsp of basil
1 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of black pepper
11/2 tsp of red pepper flakes

Directions:
Directions:
1) Cook the chopped onion and minced garlic in the olive oil over medium heat until translucent (about 5-7 minutes).

2) Add all of the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for approximately 2 hours.

3) Remove the bay leaves before serving.
