1 lb ground beef
2 medium onions, diced
1 medium cabbage, coarsely shredded
2 medium carrots, sliced thing
2 ½ tsps salt
¼ tsp pepper
¾ cup long grain rice
1 14 oz can of beef broth
½ cup water

Directions:
Directions:
 In 5 qt sauce pan or Dutch oven over high heet cook ground beef and onions until pan juices evaporate and meat is well browned, stirring occasionally. Remove pan from heat. Add cabbage, carrots, salt and pepper, toss to combine. Pour rice into 3 qt casserole; spoon ground beef mixture on top of rice; pour water and broth over top of mixture. Cover casserole; bake at 350 degree oven for 1 hour. To serve: Stir ground beef mixture with rice to mix well. Makes 6 servings.
