1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. sour milk
2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. boiling water
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugars and shortening, add eggs. Sift together dry ingredients, add dry ingredients and milk alternately to creamed mixture, beating well after each addition. Fold in boiling water, blend in vanilla. Mix well. Grease and flour a 9 X 13" baking dish or three 9" round cake pans. Bake 350º for 30-35 minutes, or until cake is done.
Frost with your favorite frosting, I like to use a creamy chocolate frosting or cream cheese frosting.
