1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter (softened)
1/2 c. peanut butter (I use creamy)
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Hershey's candy kisses (usually 1-1 1/2 bags)
add'l 1 c. sugar (approximately) - to roll cookie balls into

Directions:

Oven 375º. Ungreased cookie sheets.

1. Mix flour, baking soda & salt. Set aside.
2. Cream butter, peanut butter, sugar & brown sugar.
3. Add 1 unbeaten egg, milk & vanilla.
4. Blend in dry ingredients.
5. Shape into balls (1-1 1/2") and roll in sugar.
6. Place on cookie sheet.
7. Begin unwrapping the candy kisses while baking.
8. Bake for about 8 min., remove from oven and top with candy kiss.
9. Bake an additional 2-5 min., depending how soft you want them.

I got this recipe from my nursing school roommate's mom, Joanne Wagey. I've been making it for 40 years and is one of Darby & Mason's favorite at Christmas.
