1/2 c shortening or margarine
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 t vanilla extract
Self-Rising Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Cream together the shortening and sugar. Add the eggs and milk. Slowly add flour until the mixture is "stiff". Add the vanilla extract.

Flour a cutting board and pour batter onto it. Knead mixture. Roll out little balls on cookie sheet, making sure that the balls do not touch. Press each cookie with the bottom of a floured drinking glass.
Bake until the cookies are slightly brown. (Watch closely to prevent burning)
