Ingredients:  
1 round steak - 1" thick or about 2 pound
1/4 cup flour
Salt and pepper to taste
1 large onion, sliced
1 large celery stalk, sliced
1/4 pound of mushrooms, sliced
1 clove garlic - finely chopped
1- 8oz can of stewed tomatoes
1/4 tsp each of dried crushed basil, oregano and thyme

Directions:
Directions:
1. Trim excess fat from steak.
2. Pound flour into meat and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
3. Heat oil in skillet and brown well for both sides.
4. Place in baking dish (12x8x2)
5. Lightly cook the onion, celery, mushroom and garlic in pan drippings.
6. Stir in tomatoes and herbs.
7. Pour over steak and cover tightly with foil.
8. Bake at 300º until steak is tender about an hour to an hour and a half.
9. Place steak on platter, keeping the vegetables on top of meat.
10. Pour juices around steak.
