1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. dry bread crumbs - regular or seasoned
1 lb. ground beef or meat loaf mixture
2 T. finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Divide meat mixture in half (about 1 1/2 c. each) and shape each into loaf 5 x 4 inches. Place both loaves in ungreased baking pan 9x9x2 inches.

Bake at 350º oven about 45 minutes. If desired, top with strips of cheese and return to oven for 2 to 3 mins. Can be frozen if desired.

To make meatballs instead, decrease milk 1/4 c. Shape into 20 1 1/2 inch balls. Bake in ungreased pan at 400º for 20 mins.
