1/3 cup olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
3 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
28 ounces (can) crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 pound medium shrimp, cut in half
1 pound linguine

Directions:
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a saucepan. Add onion and sauté until translucent; five minutes. Stir in parsley, garlic, red
pepper flakes, tomatoes, sugar, salt,and pepper. Reduce heat to low. Cook 20 minutes or until sauce is
thickened, stirring occasionally. Stir in shrimp; cook until shrimp turns pink; about three minutes.

Meanwhile, cook pasta. Put in a warm serving bowl; add sauce and toss well.
