1 1/2 cups oil
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups apples, peeled, cored and thickly sliced
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1 cup raisins (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat the oil and sugar together in electric mixer. Add the eggs and beat until the mixture is creamy. Sift together the flour, salt, cinnamon and soda. Stir into the batter. Add all the remaining ingredients and stir to blend.

Turn the mixture into a buttered and floured 9" angel food tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour and 15 minutes, or until done. Cool in the pan before turning out.
