1 cup butter softened (margarine may be used instead)
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar packed
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup raisins (chocolate chips or smarties may be used instead)

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium bowl, cream together butter, white sugar, brown sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in oats and raisins. Preheat oven to 375º. Grease cookie sheets or cover with parchment paper. Roll dough into walnut sized balls and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Flatten with a large fork dipped in sugar. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool for approximately 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack to cool completely.
