1 c. cake flour
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla
5 tbsp oil
1/3 c. cold water
4 eggs, separated
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 pint whipping cream
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp Nescafe instant coffee mix

Directions:

Sift dry ingredients together. Add 1 tsp. vanilla, oil, water and egg yolks and mix with a spoon. Beat egg whites with 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar. Fold egg whites into cake batter. Pour into ungreased tube pan. Bake for 1 hour at 325º. When cake has cooled, remove from pan and slice into very thin slices. Then alternate cake slices with whipped cream filling.
Filling:
To 1/2 pint whipping cream add 1/4 c. sugar and 2 tbsp. Nescafe instant coffee mix.and 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Beat until stiff.
