"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

1 small, or half large, green pepper
1 clove garlic
3/4 cup ketchup

Buns (potato rolls, etc.)

Directions:
Finely chop the garlic. Chop (finely, or to your preference) the onion and green pepper. Salt and pepper to taste and saute together with the beef until the beef is no longer pink and the onions are translucent. Drain well, cover and set aside.

In a small bowl mix the ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and all seasonings. Mix with the cooked ground beef and heat through until flavors meld. Serve on buns (potato rolls are fantastic); yields four with leftovers.

Personal Notes:
This is a big hit with tailgating and get-togethers. Multiply the recipe, keep warm in a large crockpot, and serve with slider rolls.
