2 c. corn meal
2 c. cold water
6 c. boiling water
2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the cornmeal with the cold water; then stir into the boiling water to which salt has been added. When thoroughly mixed cover and reduce heat to lowest point. Simmer for 30 minutes or longer, stirring occasionally to prevent lumping. Turn off the heat and let steam 30 minutes longer without lifting the lid.

We ate this as cereal with sugar and milk for breakfast. Any leftovers I refrigerated in a square container. The next morning I sliced it and fried it. We ate with butter and syrup.
