1/4 Pound Butter melted on low heat (1 cube)
1/2 c white corn syrup
9 1/2 oz. canned milk
3 c sugar
1/4 t. salt
2 t. vanilla
1/2 c nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except vanilla and nuts in a sauce pan.
Bring to a boil on low to medium heat stirring constantly (scraping the bottom of the pan. It scorches easily)
Cook until soft ball stage (240º) stirring constantly
Cool for 2 minutes
Beat until it starts to go sugary
Add vanilla and nuts
Pour into a buttered flat dish or pan.
Let it set until firm and cut into squares
