4 CUPS (8 SLICES DAY OLD CUBED BREAD)
1/2 CUP RAISINS
2 CUPS MILK
1/4 CUP BUTTER
1/2 CUP SUGAR
2 EGGS (BEATEN)
1 TBSP.VANILLA
1/2 TSP.NUTMEG
1 TSP. CINN.(OPT.)
1/2 TSP. SALT(OPT.)

SAUCE:
1/2 CUP BUTTER
1/2 CUP SUGAR
1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR (PACKED)
1/2 CUP HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM
1 TBSP. VANILLA

PRE~HEAT OVEN TO 350*. MIX BREAD & RAISINS IN BIG BOWL. MIX MILK & BUTTER IN 1~QUART PAN. COOK OVER MED. HEAT UNTIL BUTTER IS MELTED (4~7 MINS.) POUR MILK MIXTURE OVER BREAD, LET STAND 10 MINS.
STIR IN ALL REMAINING PUDDING INGRED. POUR INTO SPRAYED 1 1/2 QT. DISH. BAKE FOR 40~50 MINS. UNTIL SET IN CENTER.

SAUCE:
MIX ALL INGRED. EXCEPT VANILLA IN 1~QT. PAN. COOK OVER MED. HEAT, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY, UNTIL MIXTURE THICKENS & COMES TO A FULL BOIL (5~8 MINS.) STIR IN VANILLA.
TO SERVE, SPOON WARM PUDDING INTO INDIVIDUAL DISHES, SERVE W/ SAUCE.
