2 pounds lean ground beef
4 T butter
1 onion chopped
2 carrots chopped
2 celery stalks chopped
3 ounces chicken or vegetable stock
1/2 cup tomato puree
5 ounces of frozen peas
4 large potatoes
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
ground nutmeg

8 medium potatoes

Directions:
Heat oven to 350. In frying pan saute beef. Melt 2 T butter in sauce pan, saute onion, carrots and celery until soft. Add beef, broth and puree to sauce pan. Pour into a baking dish and bake 15 minutes. Remove and add frozen peas. Cook potatoes for 20 minutes in water, mash, add milk and cream and remaining 2 T butter. Spread potatoes over beef mixture. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg. Do a criss cross pattern on the top with a fork. Bake 35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
