6 Tbsp. margarine
2 Tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. lemon extract
1 egg
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. milk
2 1/8 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg white
additional sugar for sprinkling/decorating

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the margarine, butter and sugar. Add the vanilla and lemon extracts. Add one whole egg & mix well. Add 1 c. of the cake flour. Dissolve the baking soda in the milk and add the mixture to the batter. Add the rest of the cake flour & baking powder.

Roll dough to 1/8 to 1/4" thick. Cut the cookies, brush with the egg white and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 400º F for 8 - 10 minutes.
Yield: 2 dozen cookies
