Cream together:
2/3 c. soft butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Add dry ingredients alternately with ice water.
2 Tbsp. baking cocoa
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well, but do not over mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. An oblong pan works well.

Coconut Frosting:
3 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix egg yolks, milk, and vanilla in a saucepan. Add butter and cook over medium heat until boiling and thickened. Add 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut and 1 cup chopped pecans. Top hot cake with icing and cool thoroughly. Enjoy!!
