1 loaf pumpernickel cocktail bread
1 loaf cocktail rye bread
olive oil or butter
1 onion, minced fine
minced garlic to taste (1-2 cloves)
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 lb chicken breakfast sausage
1/2 lb velveeta cheese
1/2 lb grated extra sharp cheese
1 tsp worcestershire sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat broiler. Brush bread slices with olive oil or melted butter lightly. Toasty under broiler, turning over to do both sides. Let cool. In a skillet: cook onion until soft, add garlic. Cook 1 minute. Add meat and cook, breaking up with fork. Add cheeses and worcestershire. Pile on toasts and broil. Can be topped with cocktail onion; relish, or capers.
