Ingredients:	Ingredients: 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup shortening 3 squares (3 oz. ) chocolate, melted or 6 T. cocoa 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 2/3 cups flour 1/2 tsp. soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 cup milk 1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:	Directions: Cream: sugar, shortening, chocolate, eggs and vanilla. Measure: flour Not sifted onto square of waxed paper Add: soda, and salt to flour and stir to blend. Add dry ingredients, alternately with milk, to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 º for 12-15 minutes. Frost while warm with chocolate icing (below) Yield 5-6 dozen Chocolate Icing: 1/4 cup cocoa 2 T. melted butter 2 T. light cream 1 tsp. vanilla 1/8 tsp. salt 1 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar Blend cocoa and butter Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
